Alessandra Marieli Vaccari, biologist, MSc, PhD

PhD in Agronomy at the Faculty of AgriculturalVeterinary Sciences of Universidade Estadual Paulista – Júlio de Mesquita Filho (FCAV – UNESP), Jaboticabal, São Paulo, Brazil. Professor of Entomology Applied to AgronomyExperimental Analysis Techniques in the School of Agronomic Engineering, UNIFRAN. Research Interests: entomologyintegrated pest management.
Prof. Dr. Eduardo Ferreira Molina, PhD.

PhD in Chemistry (co-supervised) from the São Paulo State University UNESP – Araraquara and the University of Paris Sud XI – France
Research Interests: polymerization processes for the development of polymeric materials, composites and organic-inorganic hybrids with applications in industry and the biomedical field. Our group’s interest in the area of biomaterials aims to explore materials known as hydrogels with unique mechanical properties for applications in controlled release systems for drugs and pesticides with the aim of reducing adverse effects on the environment. The use of these materials in the environmental area aims to establish relationships with green chemistry for the preparation of new filters, sponges and adsorbents for the removal of organic and inorganic pollutants. Furthermore, research activities are focused on the synthesis of flexible materials and functional hybrid nanomaterials for optical applications containing metal clusters that we have developed with collaborators in Europe.
