Recognition of Foreign Diplomas

In accordance with the National Education Guidelines and Bases Law nº 9.394 and Resolution nº 2, of December 19, 2024, UNIFRAN carries out the recognition of master’s and doctoral degrees obtained from foreign Higher Education institutions.

Who can apply

Anyone who has completed a master’s or doctorate degree at a higher education institution accredited/licensed in the respective legal system of its home country and that required a final project/dissertation/thesis.

Additionally, the completed course must have equivalence in level and area to the Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs offered by UNIFRAN.

How the process occurs

Diploma recognition is based on the analysis of the academic conditions of the course completed by the candidate and, if necessary, the overall performance of the certifying institution.

How to apply

The candidate must register for the “Diploma Recognition – Master’s” or “Diploma Recognition – Doctorate” process on the Carolina Bori Platform website, the Ministry of Education’s system responsible for managing recognition processes.

The request must be made by submitting the documents specified by the Ordinance regulating diploma recognition and by UNIFRAN’s regulations.
