After learning about the theory titled “Trajectory of Passions,” proposed by Dr. Maria Flávia Figueiredo, Prof. Dr. Antonio Ruiz Castellanos, a full professor at the University of Cádiz, decided to invite the faculty member to conduct research in Spain. This invitation was driven by the goal of enabling research developed at the University of Franca to contribute to the ongoing investigation at the University of Cádiz in the field of Rhetoric. 

To facilitate this exchange, Dr. Maria Flávia applied for research funding from the Fundación Carolina, under the “Brazil-Spain Faculty Mobility” modality. 

Based on her presented CV, supported by the University of Cádiz and the express invitation from Dr. Ruiz Castellanos, Dr. Maria Flávia, as a faculty member of the University of Franca (recognized as an important research center in the area of Rhetoric), was selected by the Fundación Carolina to undertake a research stay in Spain. This achievement has a significant impact not only on the career of the selected faculty member but also on the Brazilian university to which she is affiliated, given that the Fundación Carolina has a high degree of rigor in its selection process and enjoys the support and high recognition of the Spanish government. 

Following this approval, the faculty member conducted her research, disseminated the work developed at the University of Franca, and co-authored scientific articles with Dr. Ruiz Castellanos during April and May 2023.
